I remember watching the final at Marienplatz in Munich where the city installed several TVs. As we were getting close to the final whisttle, Germans started leaving the area as everybody was chanting Italia, Italia. After the game it switched to Algeria, Algeria (remember this game too?) and Francia, Francia. The crowd (not only Italians) cheered all 3 teams until some neo-nazis showed up with huge german flags. We chased them and the police had to save them from probable lynching. What a night!

I remember this as clear as day it nearly killed Battiston, crooked ref and the French were the better team and should of gone through they were cheated out and Schumacher was a horrible bastard kiddie fiddler!
