My parents (lived in the Town of Tonawanda) sent me pictures of this..fortunately, I was stationed in the Phillipines at the time. However, I did sort of pity my younger brothers, who were still living at home..they got the shovel, I got the sun.

I wasn't born until a year later, but have heard many stories about this very infamous Blizzard. Awesome Video.

I decided to look for something about the Blizzard of 77 in Buffalo and I found this one. There are two pictures that I took in there. They both say "Blizzard of 77" and the town. The first one in Alden was on N. Milgrove Rd between Rte 5 & Rte 33 and the second one in Akron was a house I used to live in on Remsen Rd.At the time I lived in Akron and every hour I shoveled the door open until I couldn't open it anymore. I had to climb out a window to get out in the morning.Great Video.

I remember that! I had just turned 10 a couple months before this storm hit, and I was living in Syracuse. We got some of it, but not half as bad as Buffalo. I prayed for everyone who were stranded and hurt during that awful time.

..Was 6 years old in neighboring, rural Genesee County. I remember our heater breaking, wearing winter clothes in the house and my dad driving the snowmobile for food (forgot about the wind howling too!) Still, sledding on the hillside drifts afterwards was great (btw much love to you Buffalo)

So people went sledding and stuff that year? I bet someone made a snowman as well.
